Ever thought about the romantic side of Easter?
Although traditionally Easter is either viewed as a strictly religious Christian holiday or a "fun" holiday just for children. For example, Easter egg hunts, chocolate Easter Gift Baskets, painting effs, dressing up as bunnies, etc. There is, however, a romantic side to Easter that you and your lover can take advantage of.
True, Easter isn't a holiday normally reserved for romance. Leave that to Valentine's Day and New Year's Eve, right? Wrong! The reality is that you can use any holiday to celebrate your love and spice up your relationship, and Easter is no exception.
Easter, in particular, means new beginnings and fresh starts. It's the beginning of spring, the beginning of new life, and can mean a fresh start for your relationship.
If you go to church or have children, or both (or neither), make sure you take some time out to celebrate Easter with just your one-and-only as well. Plan a date for the two of you specifically at Easter time.
One idea is to take advantage of the romantic aspect of Easter is to surprise your lover with a sexy night in, sans children. Prepare a traditional Easter meal, put fresh lilies, wine and candles on the table, have chocolate for dessert, and give your lover a homemade romantic Easter Basket or plan a sexy Easter egg hunt and see where the night takes you. You could also plan a night our as a surprise, with dinner reservations and tickets to a movie, event, concert or show.
You can also shower your lover with Easter-related gifts, such as chocolate (the official Easter treat which also makes a great aphrodisiac), lilies (the official Easter flower), a sweet and romantic Easter Basket , Easter love notes (e.g. "You egg-cite me!") and make-your-own chocolate Easter egg surprises.
Because the romance of Easter stems from the concept of "new beginnings", create an Easter egg time capsule together. Fill a large plastic egg with notes on reflections about your relationship over the past year and notes on how you're going to improve your relationship or increase romance over the next year. You can also record your feelings about your lover and relationship from that Easter Day.
