As much as I adore big New Year's Eve parties, sometimes it's nice to stay home, curl up and enjoy a private celebration instead. It beats driving in the cold and dealing with folks who have enjoyed a little too much holiday cheer. Plus, the fireworks are always more spectacular when they're created at home! (Wink, wink!)
So, how do I heat up New Year's when a very private, very grown up night is on tap? Party games! Now, I'm not talking about charades (although that has some potential for fun, too)! What I'm talking about are games for lovers that can heat up any night, but can really lend themselves to some serious New Year's celebrating.
My favorites?
- Role playing. What better night to cast yourself in the role of Casanova and your ladylove as a high-class senorita with a burning passion for romance? A little bedroom role play can quickly steam up the mirrors and lead to a night of New Year's lovemaking that will never be forgotten!
- Strip poker. This is a classic! It's fun, it's fast and you never can quite tell who will have the best hand. Besides, when this game is on tap, there really isn't ever a loser.
- Boudoir trivia. There is no better game for exploring your lover's deepest desires than this one. It's also fantastic for helping your ladylove learn a little bit more about your quirks, fantasies and desires, too.
- Personal strip tease. This is a divine way to get engines revving. Whether she dances or you do, the pleasures of a well attempted strip can lead to some incredible fireworks a short time down the road.
