Dating Safety 101 For The Ladies

Okay, ladies, we all know that dating is exciting, invigorating and extremely fun. Unfortunately, it can also be dangerous if you don’t land a sweet, sexy guy like me. The problem is it’s often hard to tell whether you’ve found a knight in shining armor or a shark that should be avoided like the plague.

 

 

Well, I’m here to help on that front. There are some things that savvy ladies can – and should – do to protect themselves from the not-so-nice guys that might be on the prowl.

 

Before you let yourself fall head over heels, make sure to:

 

·        Follow your instincts – If a guy makes you uncomfortable, be wary. Your instincts are going to be right about 99 percent of the time – if you listen to them.

 

·        Always meet new dates in public places – Yes, it’s romantic to have the guy pick you up at your door. Sadly, this isn’t always the safest way to go any longer. It’s best to meet in a public place at least on the first few dates. Also, make sure someone else (a friend or family member) knows where you are and who you are with.

 

·        Take it slow – Bet you never thought you’d hear a guy say this? Seriously, ladies, if your guys aren’t willing to go slow, they’re probably not worth keeping around. Any man worth his salt wants a lady who has discriminating tastes and isn’t afraid to draw a line in the sand until she’s ready to move forward in a relationship.

 

It’s a sad, but very true fact that not all guys have a Prince Charming personality or background. If you want to stay safe while dating, get smart and check things out before you move ahead. When you land that “keeper,” you’ll be glad you did!
