If you want to Monster Mash with your singles friends and meet a sweetie in the process, Halloween is the perfect time to throw a howling good party. Pulling off a singles’ bash doesn’t take as much work as you might think. Take my advice, after all, I’m the king of throwing parties that knock ‘em dead without knocking myself out in the process.
So, what do you need to do to host a haunting night of fun for your single friends? Try taking these steps to pull off a bash everyone will remember:
· Set the guest list – If it’s your plan to create a fantastic night for singles, the guest list will be the most important part of the planning. Make sure to invite not only dating couples, but also solo flying ladies and gents. If there is a particular lady who has your attention, make sure she’s on the list, too. (I suggest personally delivering the invitation along with a smile. Better yet, send it with a gift basket or flowers!)
· Figure out the food – If you’re like me, whipping up party fare just isn’t in your repertoire. I recommend using a caterer or asking friends to each bring something as “the price of admission.”
· Set the rules – You’ll want to decide before the invitations go out if your party will be a masquerade event (which I highly recommend) or a straight get together. If you go with the former, consider having a “costume contest” complete with a prize or two.
· Set the mood – What Halloween party is complete without decorations, the right music and mood lighting? Have fun setting the stage and don’t forget to clear some space for a dance floor. The backyard can still work perfectly this time of year. Light it up with jack-o-lanterns and other decorations.
Halloween parties are among the best for meeting and mingling with other singles. Put on your most dashing costume, invite your friends and prepare for a monster of a good time!
