Romantic Christmas Scavenger Hunts Add Flair To The Season

Do you want to give your sweetheart a Christmas present she (or he) will never forget? If so, I have a spectacular idea for you! Try a romantic Christmastime scavenger hunt that ends with the present and a whole lot of loving.

   
Sound good? I thought it would! Okay, here's how you get started:

• Pick the present. Remember, this needs to be something you wouldn't normally put under the tree. Think a gourmet gift basket with massage oils, a special piece of jewelry, a naughty game or toy or something along those lines. The more out of the ordinary, the better!

• Clear the room. For the scavenger hunt to really work, you need to make sure that you and she or you and he will be the only ones home at the time. Make sure you're there first though to set up!

• Set the mood. Now, to make the scavenger hunt really works and leads where you want it to, you're going to have to do some planning. You need to have a few "teaser" gifts and clues to lead your ladylove or special guy exactly where you want them to go – up the stairs and into the bedroom where the real presents – wink – are waiting.    

Getting her or him there. There are a few options on this. If you don't cohabitate, just invite your special someone over. If you do, have the plan in play on a typical pre-holiday evening before work ends for your special someone. That way, she or he will arrive home in time for a very big surprise.

 Now, to help you all out, here's how I've pulled off a romantic scavenger hunt in the past. My favorite way to kick off the game is to leave my lady a bunch of flowers with a "clue" at the front door. That clue leads to the dining room where a romantic place setting for two, complete with chilling champagne and glasses, is set out. Another "clue" leads her to the kitchen where she finds a small teaser gift, such as a box of sexy chocolate-covered strawberries as a delightful aperitif. From there, the clue leads up to the bedroom. When she opens the door, she finds a present on the bed, candles lit, massage oils warming and me in my robe.

 

Now, that's how I do it, but you should use your imagination and have a little fun along the way. I can practically guarantee this is a way to give her (or him) a Christmas present that will not soon be forgotten!
