If today’s economy has put a beating on your budget for romancing, don’t sweat it! You don’t have to spend a small fortune to plan a date that leaves her with stars in her eyes.
Three of my most favorite date ideas, in fact, cost next to nothing. If you want to sweep her off her feet without having to take out a loan, try:
· A backyard or bedroom picnic – There’s just something incredibly romantic about having dinner under the stars on a balmy summer or early fall evening. My favorite place to go is the beach, but lake or poolside also work perfectly. Pack a picnic basket with her favorite restaurant’s entrees and you’ll have the night of your lives.
· 1-night getaways – If you want to go somewhere romantic, but your funds won’t support a big production, why not choose a spot close to home and just go for a night? If you play your cards right, a single-night trip will not fail to dazzle and delight her! (Hint: Think flowers in the room, wine or champagne ordered in and breakfast in bed .)
· Stay at home – To save cash without scrimping on romance, plan an entire evening at home. Start out with wine, dinner and dancing in candlelight and then move on to wherever the mood leads. Should cooking not be a forte, elegant take out doesn’t have to cost a lot to make a big impression.
Romancing on a budget might not be easy, but it can be fun. Tap into your creative side and you’ll soon discover you don’t have to spend a fortune to be a true Romeo. Your Juliet will love you even more for it!
